According to a press release, there will be a multi-jurisdictional driving under the influence (DUI) checkpoint this weekend in San Francisco. The DUI checkpoint will be located near the intersection of Geary Boulevard and Steiner Street, in the Fillmore District. It will begin Saturday night, April 21st
at 8:30 p.m., and end early Sunday morning.
As with all DUI checkpoints, the authorities will predetermine a formula to stop cars, such as every third or fourth car. If you exhibit signs of drinking or smell of alcohol you may be waived on to secondary detention.
