Vallejo DUI Checkpoint This Weekend

The Vallejo Police Department has announced that they will conduct a driving under the influence (DUI) sobriety checkpoint this Friday night.  It will be set up from 6:00 p.m., and last until 12:00 a.m.  The press release says that the checkpoint will be located "somewhere in the city".  Expect to find it on one of the main drags, near bars.

Also, there is early warning of two checkpoints between Friday, June 29 and Wednesday, July 4 in Sonoma County.  So far there are no further details, such as were or when the checkpoints will be set up.  I will keep my eye out and post more details as I learn them.  I'm sure there will be other Bay Area counties setting up checkpoints over the July 4th holiday as well.  Stay tuned...
